INTERIOR AWARDS 2024
In the presence of more than 350 professionals from the fields of interior architecture, interior design and lighting design, BAUart and its team were distinguished at the Interiors Awards 2024, winning three prestigious awards. The Gold Award was awarded for the project “Niriides Palace Hotel”, while two Silver Awards were given for the projects “Dim. E. Ntigkakis Pharmacy” and “Lavris City Suites”. These awards highlight BAUart’s dedication and innovation in the field of architecture and interior design, confirming its leading position in the market.
INTERVIEW IN ARCHITECT MAGAZINE
In an interview we gave to Architect magazine along with renowned colleagues, we discussed the importance of treating a hotel’s reception as an important point of reference for guests. The reception should have a ” wow factor ” creating a great impression since it is the first contact the guest has with the place. To this end, the design must take into account the atmosphere, lighting, colours and the use of materials that help to create a pleasant feeling and unpretentious finesse.

Jewellery Store “Kosmima Papadakis Manos” – INTERIOR AWARDS GOLD 2022
For the expansion of “Kosmima Papadakis Manos” Jewellery Store, the owner chose one of the Heraklion’s most commercial streets, in a paved central point of the city. The architectural firm BAUart undertook the implementation of the project, consolidating two separate spaces and creating a 100 square meters store, luxurious, sophisticated, and functional, innovative, and timeless at the same time, mirroring the city’s progress throughout the years.

The central idea and main source of inspiration was the very concept of the word jewel. The aim was not only to create a space to display and highlight the exhibits but also to make the jewellery shop itself a piece of art.
“The entrance is marked by a high glass door which opens into a reception area with a three-dimensional clock made of brass, the central emblematic element of the space, designed by architectural firm BAUart”.
The connection between the brass clock and the space is reinforced by the floating lines of the same metal which embrace the windows creating a feeling of jewellery boxes of high artistic and aesthetic value.
The vertical marble strips on the ground floor followed by the linear dark marble flooring that runs through the space, encourage movement, attracting customers to go up to the VIP floor where the presentations of selected unique products are held.
The meticulously chosen lighting solutions emphasize the geometry of the space, further enhancing the jewellery itself. The design proposal and the final result led to the creation of a jewellery store that although it may be located in Greece, it could also be seen on Via Nassa, Via Montenapoleone, 5th Avenue and Oxford Street.

Residence KYMO INSTYLE VILLA
The residence KYMO Ιnstyle Villa, designed by architectural firm BAUart, is located in Kokkini Hani, an area 15 km eastern of Heraklion city, in Crete that over the years has become an attractive tourist destination. The modern simple lines combined with the earthy neutral tones form an interior serene space perfectly in harmony with the surroundings while the subtle touches of luxury give a character of comfort and complete relaxation.
The residence is situated on a two-acre plot with frontage on a municipal road, which, combined with the appropriate design and construction, has resulted in the location of the residence in such a position that has unparalleled vistas of the bay of Heraklion with the island of Dia dominating the horizon.

In the surrounding area due to the permitted coverage, the shape of the plot and the needs of the owners, the residence was developed on two levels, which resulted in the maximization of green spaces, the development of a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, BBQ area and a private parking.
On the first level, on the ground floor, we find the living room and the kitchen which both have sea and mountain views respectively. The villa operates as a tourist resort all year round, so during the winter months, the fireplace gives a sense of warmth to the whole open plan area. On the same level, there are two bedrooms and a marble staircase with a metal illuminated handrail that leads to the first floor where there is a bedroom with a private terrace with endless views.
“As far as the interior design of this impressive villa is concerned, the living room plays a dominant role in the space”.
It was elegantly designed and constructed according to the requirements of the space. The simple lines and the natural materials used give a welcoming touch. The imposing ethnic wooden sculptures adorning the walls were designed by the architectural firm BAUart to harmoniously complement the decoration and enhance the emphatic artistic feel of the residence.
The open plan space is directly connected with the surrounding area which is arranged in levels for a better functionality. The outdoor space has been constructed with luxury so that the residents can enjoy its facilities to the fullest during their stay in the residence.
The aim of the design of KYMO Instyle Villa is to leave its residents with the most pleasant impressions and memories of their stay, but also to prove in practice that art is not only what we do but also what we experience.

YADES INSTYLE VILLAS
Built in a magnificent location on the sea, the two villas overlook the picturesque landscape of Mochlos with the deep blue of the sea, the imposing rocks and the endless play of the Greek light to compose a spectacular, constantly changing colour palette.
